  • Perth 2011 ISAF

    In 2007, it was announced that Western Australia had been the successful bidder against seven other cities, to host the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships – the biggest sailing Event to be held in Perth since the 1987 America’s Cup Defence.
    More than 4,000 official personnel, including 1,400 sailors, and tens of thousands of spectators are expected to visit Western Australia for the two-week Regatta, where World Champions for each of the 10 Olympic sailing events will be determined. Seventy five per cent of all nations to participate at the 2012 London Olympic Games Sailing Competition will be decided at Perth 2011.

  • The Besen Family Foundation

    The Besen Family Foundation has been established to build on the philanthropic tradition which was started by Eva and Marc Besen. This tradition has now evolved to encompass three broad areas through which the foundation can express its involvement and commitment: Arts and Culture, Health and Welfare and Jewish Interests. The foundation seeks to encourage, nurture and assist in both the maintaining and also developing of important programs and projects. It provides support mainly through financial grants. The essence of the foundation is the involvement of family members and the desire to encourage a spirit and culture of giving which can be developed and handed on to future generations.

    Arimia is situated at the northern end of the Margaret River wine region near the surf and fishing beach of Mosesrock. Arimia is a combination of the names of owners Malcolm Washbourne and Ann Spencer’s two daughters Mia and Ariann. It is, like most Margaret River vineyards a family affair.

    Specialising in performing arts photography and photographic design.

    Over the last 15 years Jon has worked as a professional photographer in the performing arts industry, commercial, editorial, portraiture, nature, plus as artist in residence in Lombok, Indonesia. During this time he has also been involved in both solo and community exhibitions. His main interest lies in photographing the performing arts and fine art photography.

    Implementing the knowledge gained from an Arts Management degree completes a photographic package that offers clients the opportunity for innovative images for their marketing or personal needs.

    RTR FM is an independent self-funded non-profit radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day to the Perth metro area and beyond at 92.1 on the FM band and in real audio to the world via its website. Western Australia’s oldest FM radio station, RTR FM commenced broadcasting in 1977 as 6UVS FM and has since become both a catalyst and a leader in its embrace and promotion of local music and arts.

  • Radio Fremantle 107.9fm

    A community radio station situated in Rockingham Road, Spearwood. They offer a variety of programs including music, the arts, sport and ethnic programming all day Sunday.

    Radio Fremantle commenced broadcasting on 3 October 1987 and provides a variety of programs catering for local, youth and ethnic listeners. There is also a wide-coverage of all major sporting events. The station is located in Hamilton Hill, Western Australia.
