It’s the 1930s and Lorelei and Buzzard are a popular and successful cabaret duo. When they secure their big break out of Fremantle, performing on a majestic cruise ship setting sail for the Far East, they think all their wishes have been answered. But at the port of Shanghai, Lorelei is nowhere to be found.
Believing she has left him for another, Buzzard continues on alone. But a discovered clue linked to his lost love’s past, makes him realise that all is not as it seems. His journey in search of Lorelei takes him from port to port around the globe, right into the heart of Europe.
Featuring the incredible musical talents of Mark Storen, Tim Cunniffe & Rhoda Lopez, and set to the music of Cole Porter, Nick Cave, Lily Allen, Tom Waits and Nina Simone, this is a theatrical treat like no other.

Press Reviews
“Director Chris Bendall… delivered a truly melodious account of love, with around 30 songs and poetic quotations, brilliantly interpreted and sung by tuneful Mark [Storen], and Rhoda [Lopez] with her perfect pitch and velvety voice….One of the rare ‘complete’ productions. Stunning and oozing talent. “ Theatre Australia.
“Storen and Lopez are among my favourite performers in Perth and their performances didn’t disappoint. Storen brought a dissolute despair to his Buzzard and Lopez’ voice embraced styles as varied as her many costume changes . . . like a site-specific art installation, Fiona Bruce’s design elements turn Victoria Hall into a third character of the piece”. The West Australian.
“Just another attention to detail that takes this show from good to magnificent . . . one of the rare ‘complete’ productions. Stunning and oozing talent”.

“Set and costume designer Fiona Bruce transforms Victoria Hall into a nautical cabaret club. The audience sips wine and champagne at intimate tables as if they were the ship’s passengers (if you attend, wearing 1930s-style clothes wouldn’t go amiss).” The Fremantle Herald.
