Checklist for an Armed Robber is a startling and suspenseful Australian play based on two real life events from opposite ends of the globe. October 23, 2002: A theatre in Moscow is held hostage by 50 Chechen men and women, while much closer to home in Newcastle, Australia, a lone gunman holds up a small bookstore.
Following hugely successful seasons in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, this explosive new work was nominated for the Griffin Award, New Dramatists Award, and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards, with its subsequent radio adaptation winning an AWGIE Award.
