Bratwurst and Damper

BRATWURST & DAMPER

She is Nyoongar royalty brought up in the regimented atmosphere of a Christian mission; he is from the German aristocracy, fleeing post-war deprivation and Communist repression. They meet and fall in love.

It’s Perth in the early sixties. Two fragile spirits, dislocated from land and country, their affair transcends two radically different worlds, one steeped in spiritual and intuitive knowledge, the other in classical European tradition.

This superb new work by Lilly Radloff explores, with song and story telling, the choices both must make to hold onto their identity and respect in a climate of prejudice and doubt.

Can they realise their dreams? Can love really conquer all, or will contradictory forces tear it apart?

A love story with a difference BRATWURST & DAMPER will touch your heart.
