We are very proud to bring you the long awaited return of this brilliant play about WA’s 1834 Pinjarra Massacre and it’s contemporary reverberations. Created by Nyoongar and Wadjella (whitefella) actors, BINDJAREB PINJARRA demonstrates extra-ordinary risk taking through its fusion of history, outrageous comedy and physical theatre.
Performing in Fremantle for the first time and acclaimed across Australia, this break-through cross – cultural production will be restaged for the 175th Anniversary of the contentious Pinjarra “incident”.
“This is reconciliation theatre at it’s best” Rhoda Roberts, (The Dreaming Festival, Queensland)
“Brilliant performances…a wonderful fusion of the comic with the tragic” (Sydney Morning Herald)
“Powerful and moving…delicious satire”(The West Australian)
